Genesis delivers Second A320 to Heston
Dublin based Leasing company Genesis has announced the delivery of a second Airbus A320 to Lithuanian startup Heston Airlines. The new airline has recently received its AOC. Heston Airlines is now poised and ready to take advantage of the recovery in the Global Market with their first two aircraft ready to enter service. The first aircraft LY-FJI (c/n 2157) has been painted in the airline’s full colours with their second aircraft, a 2003 build, LY-VUT (c/n 2112) currently parked in Shannon and will be available in the weeks ahead. Heston is just one of the 32 customers in the Genesis portfolio where they have placed 71 aircraft that are owned or managed. Heston Airlines is part of the Heston Aviation group, focused on aviation assets Leasing, Trading, Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul, and now ACMI/Charter operations.
Commenting on the news, Pat Madigan Head of Commercial at Genesis said, “Genesis is delighted to deliver this second aircraft supporting the commencement of operations at Heston Airlines. We look forward to building on this achievement as markets recover with further expansion in the near future.”
Also commenting was the CEO of Heston Airlines, Jonas Rinkauskas who said, “Heston Airlines has entered into global ACMI and Charter market. We are delighted to offer two Airbus A320 for commercial operations. What Heston Airlines have is a real dedicated group of professionals who are hugely talented and ready to take off to the skies.”
