Emerald Airlines, exclusive operator of Aer Lingus Regional, is proud to announce a landmark achievement in only its third year of operations, having delivered its first-ever operating profit. For the year ending 2024, Emerald Airlines reported an operating profit of €9.6 million, a significant turnaround from a €7.6 million operating loss in 2023.
This milestone marks the successful transition from start-up losses to profitability, underscoring the airline’s disciplined growth strategy and strong operational performance.
Key Highlights from 2024
- Financial milestone: €9.6m operating profit, compared to a €7.6m loss in 2023.
- Fleet expansion: Emerald Airlines welcomed its 18th aircraft in May 2024, driving an 8.8% increase in capacity. The airline now operates a fleet of 20 ATR72-600 aircraft.
- Revenue growth: Revenue rose by 20.5%, supported by a 15.7% increase in passenger numbers and a 4.6% improvement in load factors.
- The airline carried 2.2 million passengers in 2024, operating with an average Load Factor of 80%.
