Jackson Square Aviation Delivers First A321neo Aircraft to VietJet

Dublin based aircraft lessor Jackson Square Aviation (JSA) has announced the delivery of the first two Airbus A321neo aircraft to Vietnamese low-cost carrier VietJet Air, marking the beginning of a five-aircraft sale and leaseback agreement.

The transaction highlights Ireland’s continued importance as a global centre for aircraft leasing, with Dublin headquartered JSA playing a key role in supporting airline fleet growth and modernisation around the world. The two new Airbus A321neo aircraft form the initial phase of a wider agreement that will see five aircraft delivered to VietJet. The remaining three aircraft are scheduled to enter service later this year.

David Jones, Chief Marketing Officer of Jackson Square Aviation, said the company remains committed to supporting VietJet’s ambitious expansion plans. “We are fully committed to our long-standing partnership with VietJet providing fleet solutions that align with the carrier’s sustainable expansion plans. The A321neo’s advanced, fuel-efficient technology will cut fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions, strengthening VietJet’s leadership in environmental efficiency.” He added: “We are delighted to support VietJet as it continues to grow as one of Vietnam’s most dynamic airlines. These aircraft will play a key role in enhancing operational performance while advancing the airline’s sustainability objectives.”

For VietJet, the aircraft will provide additional capacity as the airline continues its rapid international expansion. The carrier has one of the largest order books in the aviation industry, with 576 aircraft currently on order.

Danny Ngoc Q. TA, Vice President of VietJet, welcomed the partnership with JSA. “We are pleased to partner with Jackson Square Aviation on this sale and leaseback agreement. With a total of 576 modern aircraft on order to support our extensive international growth, the new Airbus A321neos provide critical, fuel-efficient capacity just in time for the busy summer high season, allowing us to seamlessly meet passenger demand while advancing our sustainability goals.”
