The much-anticipated Rush Air Display 2026 is set to deliver another thrilling day of aviation over the North Dublin coastline, with organisers confirming a diverse and high-calibre line-up that blends military precision, civilian aerobatics, classic warbirds, and parachute displays. The event will take place on Sunday, August 2nd (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM) at Rush North Beach.
Returning as one of Ireland’s standout aviation events, the Rush Air Display continues to build on its reputation for combining accessibility with top-tier aerial performances, drawing enthusiasts and families alike to the scenic seaside town.
Leading the bill this year are the ever-popular Aerosuperbatics Wingwalkers, whose unique display of airborne choreography, featuring wingwalkers performing on top of biplanes, never fails to capture the imagination of the crowd. Their combination of precision flying and daring mid-air aerobatics will once again be a highlight of the show.
Irish military aviation will be strongly represented, with the Irish Air Corps expected to showcase its versatility, while the Coast Guard’s Rescue 116 helicopter will provide a compelling demonstration of search and rescue capabilities, always a powerful and educational component of the programme.
The high-energy Black Knights parachute display team and the Irish Parachute Club will bring vertical excitement to the display box, adding colour and spectacle as they descend with precision into the show area.
Aerobatic enthusiasts are particularly well catered for in 2026, with an impressive list of solo performers:
- Rich Goodwin in his Jet Pitts Special (G-JPIT) promises an electrifying routine, combining extreme manoeuvres and smoke.
- Andrew Fenton flying the striking Christen Eagle (G-CFIF) will deliver a polished and dynamic aerobatic display.
- The Strikemaster solo display adds a jet-powered edge to the line-up, bringing speed and power to the coastal backdrop.
- Gerry Humphreys in the RV7 (EI-HUM) provides a graceful yet capable aerobatic performance from the popular Vans aircraft platform.
Classic aviation is well represented, with the must-see Mustang G-MRLL, flown by Isabel Rutland, bringing the unmistakable sound and presence of a WWII icon to Rush.
Formation enthusiasts can look forward to displays from The Ravens, known for their tight formation aerobatics and polished routines and the IHFF (Irish Historic Flight Foundation), showcasing Ireland’s aviation heritage through carefully preserved aircraft.
The Rush Air Display continues to stand out for its community atmosphere, with the town itself playing a key role in hosting visitors. Its natural amphitheatre along the coastline offers excellent viewing opportunities, making it one of the most accessible air displays in Ireland.
With a balanced mix of aerobatics, heritage aircraft, and operational demonstrations, the 2026 edition promises a full-spectrum aviation experience.
