Canadian airline, WestJet has announced a new service from St. John’s International Airport on the east coast of Canada to Dublin starting on the 18th of May, 2025. The new service will operate twice weekly until the 23rd of October. WestJet previously operated this route prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the airline routes announcement for 2025, WestJet will also operate from St. John’s to London Gatwick and Paris CDG.
WestJet launched in 1996 with just three aircraft, 250 employees, and five destinations, growing over the years to more than 180 aircraft, 14,000 employees, and more than 100 destinations across 26 countries. In addition to the St. John’s service, WestJet will also serve Dublin from Toronto, Calgary, and the Halifax service will return for 2025 with a four days per week service from the 20th of May through to the 13th of October.
