Eastern Airways Return to Belfast
Eastern Airways will return to Belfast City Airport with a service from Southampton from Thursday 1st April. The service will be operated by their 72 seat ATR-72 aircraft. The service will depart from Southampton at 13.30 with a 15.00 arrival in Belfast City Airport. The return service will depart 30 minutes later for the 90 minute flight back to Southampton. The route will be operated initially on Thursday and Friday with increased services in the coming weeks to four per week in May and six per week in June.
Eastern Airways have also recently announced they will add Gibraltar to their network with a new twice weekly service from Birmingham and Southampton starting in May. The carrier will use its Embraer EMB-170 aircraft on the route to the British Territory. Eastern Airways operate from ten cities on Regional routes across the UK as well as Belfast City and Dublin is expected to return to their network when the travel restrictions are eased.
