GECAS Deliver Airbus A321neo to Bamboo Airways

GECAS has delivered an Airbus A321neo to Vietnam based Bamboo Airlines. The aircraft is their eight Airbus A321 family and the fifth ‘neo’ option to join their fleet. The aircraft was delivered from Airbus in Hamburg and arrived at Noi Bai Airport in Vietnam on 7th February.

Bamboo Airways only started flight operations in January 2019 with an Airbus A320. They have expended their fleet now to nearly 30 aircraft that includes Embraer ERJ-190’s, Airbus A321’s and Boeing 787’s. They operate mostly domestic routes in Vietnam with international services to Japan and South Korea. The airline expects to have a further 25 Airbus aircraft delivered by 2025 and operate a total 14 Dreamliner’s in the same time frame. Bamboo Airways have fitted their Airbus fleet with a two class Business and Economy cabins and the Dreamliner’s have the addition of First and Premium Economy products.
