Air Traffic Down 61% in January

The IAA has published its overall traffic figures for January 2021 and it is showing a decrease of almost 61% on last year. Commercial Terminal Movements for Dublin, Shannon and Cork airports are down 78% collectively on 2020 figures. Dublin Airport had a 76% decrease in traffic, Cork Airport had a decrease of 94% in commercial air traffic and Shannon saw an overall decrease of 73% in movements. Another notable item from the published figures was that just 11,143 overflights were handled by Irish ATC (flights, which do not land in Ireland) was down by 57% year on year.
