Jet2 Cancels all Flights Until Late March
Jet2 has announced that it has cancelled all flights until 25th March due to the uncertainty caused by the on going COVID-19 pandemic. Jet2 operate numerous routes from Belfast International all year round, mostly to mainland Spain, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands. The cancellation is due to the restrictions in place across the UK. The airline had initially cancelled flights until 11th February but this has now been extended until the start of the summer season where it is hoped they can resume a reasonable level of service.
In a statement released by Jet2, “Due to the ongoing uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and government travel restrictions, we’ve decided to extend the suspension of all flights up to and including 25th March 2021.” Passengers effected by the cancellations will receive a full refund and the airline intends to do this in a prompt manor as they know that customers will remember this approach, and the way the airline have looked after them will play an important part in the long-term strategy to continue to grow successfully.
