ASG Launches “Hybrid” Classroom Concept

ASG has recently launched their new “hybrid” classroom concept in order to provide students with the ultimate flexibility when choosing how they would like to attend their ATPL revision classes. Students can now choose to sit-in or log-in for their classes. They can even alternate from day to day, by logging in on one day or physically attending the class on the next.

The concept is simple, “live” ATPL revision classes will continue to be conducted on location in Dublin. Some students may be “in-class” and others will be attending by logging in. In order to ensure a fantastic classroom experience for those attending remotely, ASG have invested in 4K webcams, a dedicated instructor login station, and a classroom facing flat-screen display where the faces of those attending remotely will even be displayed to the students who are attending physically – so everyone will feel part of our new “hybrid” classroom environment!

Speaking about the recent investment and new feature available to ASG students, ASG Managing Director Diarmuid O’ Riordan, commented: “Innovation and responsiveness is at the heart of what we do. I know that this sounds somewhat clichéd but we are always seeking out new ways to improve the student learning experience with us. We genuinely consider our students to be the best possible “advertisement/marketing” of what we actually do. As long as we continue to be responsive, innovative, and provide them with the best possible ATPL training experience with the best instructors, we hope this will continue.

Many aviation training companies and ATO’s are now, understandably, reducing expenditure due to the reduction in training demand. Our view is that while this down cycle will most likely be prolonged, a recovery in the medium term is inevitable. In the meantime, the way that we will learn in the future has changed irreversibly which will significantly alter the future model of the aviation training market. We feel that by making these investments now it ensures that we are well positioned to continue to provide the best EASA ATPL theory training course, provide our students with the greatest possible flexibility, and one where students can even login to attend our courses from anywhere in the world!”
