A great day in Birr on Saturday with amazing support from the Aviation Community and general public – over 50 volunteers from the local chapter of SVP were onsite with a special thanks to Marion Carter and her amazing team, Caravan and Motor Home club Leinster Section, to Dave Corboy and the Ormand Flying Club and also all who attended and contributed in any way
The Irish Parachute Club (IPC) dropped in, we had a flypast from the coastguard fixed wing and our special guest on the day was the IOLAR operated on the day by Captain Gar Brady with Chief Engineer Oliver Murphy in attendance
Over 300 breakfasts were served on the day and with the generous support of Simtech Aviation and all of our sponsors we raised €15,119. Our gross sum raised to date from all activities now stands at €618,209.
