Temporary Restricted Area – Lusk Area

The Irish Aviation Authority has published details of a Temporary Restricted Area (TRA) on the flying of aircraft and Unmanned Aircraft Systems in the vicinity of Lusk, County Dublin. The purpose of the TRA is to ensure the safety of aircraft operating within and of other air traffic operating in the vicinity of Lusk, County Dublin in the period cited whilst allowing for Unmanned Aircraft System testing. The testing will be conducted by Wing Aviation, a Finnish company that offers drone delivery. Their fleet of lightweight, autonomous delivery drones can transport small packages directly from businesses to homes in minutes.

The period of the restriction shall be daily from 0900hrs UTC to 1600hrs UTC from Monday, February 12th to Friday, February 23rd, 2024. The TRA is within the Dublin CTR and will remain Class C. It stretches from the surface to 560ft AMSL. State aircraft, aircraft of the Irish Coastguard Service and HEMS Aircraft Operators employed on an operational mission shall be exempt from the restriction.

In this role he has worked at local and national levels. In 2015, Mark won ‘Upcoming Aviation Professional Award’ at the Aviation Industry Awards sponsored by the IAA.
