Ireland truly has a rich aviation heritage and a fascinating story to tell. From the very first transatlantic flight, to the growth of Europe’s largest airline to being at the forefront of the global multi-billion dollar aircraft finance sector. This is a story of which we are very proud and very much a story that is still being written… In 2014, Avolon commissioned a documentary Pioneers & Aviators, A Century of Irish Aviation. The documentary tells the story of the pioneering individuals whose vision, passion, successes and failures helped forge Ireland’s unique aviation landscape.
Flying In Ireland was launched in 2002 as a resource for Irish pilots and aviation enthusiasts to keep up to date with the latest in Irish related aviation news. Published as a hard copy magazine from February 2005 until January 2015, Flying In Ireland is now a free online resource.
