Video: Pioneers and Aviators – Episode 1

Ireland is famous the world over for its tradition of story-telling. Our unique aviation history is perhaps less well known.  Ireland truly has a rich aviation heritage and a fascinating story to tell.  From the very first transatlantic flight, to the growth of Europe’s largest airline to being at the forefront of the global multi-billion dollar aircraft finance sector. This is a story of which we are very proud and very much a  story that is still being written… In 2014, Avolon commissioned a documentary Pioneers & Aviators, A Century of Irish Aviation. The documentary tells the story of the pioneering individuals whose vision, passion, successes and failures helped forge Ireland’s unique aviation landscape.
