Navigational Warning Issued for National Day of Commemoration in Dublin

The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) has issued a Navigational Warning for airspace in the vicinity of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin 8, in connection with the National Day of Commemoration 2026 ceremony.  The annual event honours Irish men and women who died in past wars or while serving with United Nations missions. The ceremony will take place on Sunday 12th July 2026 between 1000 UTC and 1115 UTC at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

Unlike a Temporary Restricted Area (TRA), this notice is a navigational warning requesting pilots, during the normal course of navigation, to avoid overflying the ceremonial venue during the specified period.

Location:Royal Hospital, Military Road, Kilmainham, Dublin 8.
Date:Sunday 12th July 2026.
Duration:1000 UTC to 1115 UTC.
Lateral Limits:Circle with a radius of 1NM, centred on 53˚ 20′ 35″ N, 006˚ 18′ 43″W
Vertical Limits:SFC to 1700ft AMSL

The IAA has requested that pilots avoid overflying the area during the ceremony to minimise disturbance. Given the location within the Dublin CTR, pilots operating in the greater Dublin area should expect ATC awareness of the event and should factor the advisory area into their pre-flight planning.
