This week, Simtech Aviation has been celebrating 25 years of delivering excellence in airline pilot training, supporting both student pilots and airline partners across Europe and beyond. Since receiving IAA approval for MCC training in 2001, Simtech has continually evolved, from early MCC delivery and airline assessment support to becoming a leading provider of APS MCC training and full-flight simulator operations. Over the years, Simtech has built strong relationships with airlines, including Aer Lingus and Ryanair, expanded its simulator capabilities across multiple aircraft types, and supported thousands of pilots on their journey to the flight deck. This journey has been defined by continuous investment, from the introduction of ATR and Airbus simulators to advanced training devices and full-flight simulators, and most recently, a major partnership with IAG and Aer Lingus.
In 2025, Simtech Aviation students achieved strong airline placement outcomes, progressing into roles with leading airlines across Europe and the UK.
- 75% of student placements were secured with six leading airlines, including Wizz Air, Ryanair, Emerald Airlines (Aer Lingus Regional), Jet2, BA CityFlyer and TUI
- The remaining placements were achieved across a diverse international mix of airlines, including Luxair, Brussels Airlines, Volotea, SunExpress, Aer Lingus, and Air Tahiti
These results reflect continued demand for airline-ready pilots across both EASA and UK CAA markets. Simtech Aviation has also developed structured partnership pathways with airlines, including Wizz Air UK and Emerald Airlines (Aer Lingus Regional & Emerald UK), offering selected APS MCC graduates (EASA and UK CAA) direct access to airline assessment opportunities. These pathways reflect Simtech’s strong alignment with airline recruitment requirements, ensuring training is designed to prepare students for successful progression across multiple airline selection processes.
In 2026, Simtech Aviation will become Ireland’s largest full-flight simulator training centre, with the arrival of next-generation Airbus A320neo, A330neo and A321XLR simulators. From the first MCC course to training pilots now hired by over 70 airlines worldwide, one thing has remained constant. A commitment to excellence and preparing pilots for successful airline careers. Since the first MCC course in 2001, Simtech Aviation has grown into one of Europe’s leading pilot training providers, built on strong airline partnerships, continuous investment, and a clear focus on student success. Simtech Aviation will launch a series of student promotions from April 2026, as part of its 25-year celebration campaign, supporting continued student progression into airline careers.
