Dublin Aerospace Adds Two Senior Industry Leaders to Its Board

Dublin Aerospace Group has strengthened its Board of Directors with the appointment of two highly respected aviation figures: Stephen Kavanagh, former Aer Lingus CEO, and Mary Bradford, a veteran of global aviation finance and leasing. The company says the move reinforces its strategic ambition as it continues to expand operations in Dublin and Ashbourne, as well as through its UK subsidiary, Exeter Aerospace. The appointments will see both executives work closely with the existing board and leadership team, contributing to long‑term strategy development, commercial oversight, and governance across quality, safety and compliance.

Stephen Kavanagh spent more than 35 years at Aer Lingus, including serving as Chief Executive Officer during a period of major transformation for the airline. He led the business through its 2015 acquisition by IAG and is widely credited with driving the success of Aer Lingus’s transatlantic expansion. Kavanagh previously held senior roles such as Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Strategy and Planning Officer, and today serves on several international aviation boards, including Oman Air, Norwegian Air Shuttle, CDB Aviation Leasing and ABRA Airlines Group.

Speaking on his appointment, Kavanagh said: “I’m very pleased to be joining the Dublin Aerospace Board. Dublin Aerospace has established itself as a highly respected MRO and I look forward to being a part of the business by supporting the company’s long‑term strategy.”

Mary Bradford brings nearly three decades of experience in aircraft finance. She previously served as Senior Vice President & Counsel at GECAS and began her career with the pioneering leasing firm Guinness Peat Aviation (GPA). Over the course of her career, Bradford has been closely involved in major global leasing and financing transactions and contributed to important aviation policy work, including initiatives surrounding the Cape Town Convention.

Bradford commented: “Dublin Aerospace has built a strong reputation for quality and technical excellence, and I am excited to work alongside the existing Board and leadership team to support the company’s continued growth and strategic development.”

Executive Chairman Conor McCarthy welcomed the appointments, stating: “We are delighted to welcome Mary and Stephen to the Dublin Aerospace family. Their insight and strategic perspective will be invaluable as Dublin Aerospace continues to grow and strengthen its position as a leading MRO provider.”

The company says the addition of Kavanagh and Bradford underscores its commitment to strong governance, deep industry expertise, and long‑term sustainable growth.
