Airline Flight Academy Launches Dual EASA & UK CAA APS MCC Course

Airline Flight Academy (AFA) will launch its new dual EASA and UK CAA-approved APS MCC course, designed for aspiring airline pilots who hold or are pursuing dual licenses. This unique training pathway offers trainee pilots greater flexibility, dual license recognition, and career opportunities for Europe’s competitive airline recruitment market.

The inaugural course will start Monday, November 24th, 2025, and will be delivered at AFA’s Dublin training centre and priced at €6,499 – providing unmatched value for a dual-approved, airline-standard APS MCC programme.

As an official Ryanair Future Flyer Academy Training Partner, AFA continues to set the benchmark for quality and realism in airline preparation. Trainees benefit from instruction on Boeing 737-8200 FTDs, operated by AFA’s team of airline-experienced instructors, ensuring a smooth transition from training to the flight deck.

“Already as Europe’s largest APS MCC provider, we are delighted to expand our offering of courses and will offering even greater choice to future pilots,” said Kilian Hanratty, Commercial and Operations Manager at AFA. “Whether students aim to fly under EASA, the UK CAA, or both, this course offers opportunity to join industry leading airlines, such as our airline partner Ryanair”.

The APS MCC (Airline Pilot Standard Multi-Crew Cooperation) is the final stage of pilot training before airline selection, focusing on advanced multi-crew operations, decision-making, and airline-standard procedures. With AFA’s strong partnership with Europe’s largest recruiting airline, Ryanair, graduates benefit from direct exposure to the airline’s operational philosophy, training standards and recruitment expectations.

“This new dual approval gives pilots the flexibility to pursue their career wherever opportunities arise — and with the confidence that their training meets the highest European standards.”
