Entries Open for The Aviation Industry Awards 2025

Launched in 2014, the Aviation Industry Awards have recognised excellence for those demonstrating best practice and innovation in the aviation sector in Ireland. There is no doubt that the individuals, companies and clients who comprise this industry are truly world-class operators, who provide Ireland with a cutting edge in the international marketplace. The Aviation Industry Awards encourage these teams and individuals to constantly raise the bar, to innovate and maintain their commitment to achieving excellence.

In addition to the 19 existing categories, eight new categories have been added for the 2025 awards:

  1. Social Impact Award
  2. Diversity in Aviation Award
  3. Best Emerging Aviation Technology Award
  4. Airport of the Year Award
  5. Graduate Training Programme of the Year Award
  6. Best Ground Handling & Support Services Award
  7. Green Impact Award
  8. Green Supply Chain Excellence

The deadline for award entries is Friday, the 18th of August, 2025. The ceremony itself is taking place on Friday, the 28th of November, in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry. For more information and details on how to enter, visit www.aviationawards.ie

Mark is an airline pilot flying the Boeing 737 for a major European airline. In addition he is also a Type Rating Instructor, Type Rating Examiner and Base Training Captain on the B737. Outside of commercial flying Mark enjoys flying light aircraft from the smallest 3 Axis microlights up to heavier singles. He is also an instructor and EASA Examiner on single engines and a UK CAA Examiner. He flies the Chipmunk for the Irish Historic Flight Foundation (IHFF). Mark became the Chairman of the National Microlight Association of Ireland (NMAI) in 2013 and has overseen a massive growth in the organisation. In this role he has worked at local and national levels. In 2015, Mark won ‘Upcoming Aviation Professional Award’ at the Aviation Industry Awards sponsored by the IAA. Mark launched this website back in 2002 while always managing the website, he has also been Editor and Deputy Editor of FlyingInIreland Magazine from 2005 to 2015.
