Emerald Airlines Celebrates Third Anniversary at Isle of Man Airport

Emerald Airlines, operator of Aer Lingus Regional, is celebrating its third anniversary flying from the Isle of Man with its largest-ever summer schedule to Dublin. Since 2022, Aer Lingus Regional has offered convenient connections to Dublin and beyond through the Aer Lingus network. The Summer 2025 schedule includes more flights, enhanced frequency, and greater flexibility for leisure and business passengers.

Commenting on the announcement, Ian Lough, Head of Commercial at Emerald Airlines, said: “We are delighted to celebrate our third anniversary of operations from the Isle of Man and are equally as excited to unveil our biggest ever Summer schedule to Dublin with up to two flights each day . We look forward to welcoming even more passengers on board this summer season.”

Geoff Pugh, Interim Airport Director at Isle of Man Airport, said: “The increase in capacity on the Dublin route this summer is fantastic news, further strengthening our partnership with Aer Lingus Regional as they enter their third year of operation at Isle of Man Airport. This expansion reflects the growing demand for connectivity between the Isle of Man and Dublin, providing even more flexibility for both business and leisure travellers.”

Mark is an airline pilot flying the Boeing 737 for a major European airline. In addition he is also a Type Rating Instructor, Type Rating Examiner and Base Training Captain on the B737. Outside of commercial flying Mark enjoys flying light aircraft from the smallest 3 Axis microlights up to heavier singles. He is also an instructor and EASA Examiner on single engines and a UK CAA Examiner. He flies the Chipmunk for the Irish Historic Flight Foundation (IHFF). Mark became the Chairman of the National Microlight Association of Ireland (NMAI) in 2013 and has overseen a massive growth in the organisation. In this role he has worked at local and national levels. In 2015, Mark won ‘Upcoming Aviation Professional Award’ at the Aviation Industry Awards sponsored by the IAA. Mark launched this website back in 2002 while always managing the website, he has also been Editor and Deputy Editor of FlyingInIreland Magazine from 2005 to 2015.
