Dublin Aerospace Celebrates 15 Years in Business

Dublin Aerospace began back in 2009 with just a small team of 18 in Hangar 5, Dublin Airport. Today, the Dublin Aerospace Group, the parent company of Dublin Aerospace and Exeter Aerospace, is one of the world’s leading providers of MRO services with over 500 people across Ireland and the UK. The company operates a 4-bay Base Maintenance facility that can handle approximately 70 aircraft per annum (A320, A330, 737 families) and an APU overhaul centre that can handle 200 APUs a year.

In 2020, the company announced that it was proceeding with a €15m expansion programme with a new facility in Ashbourne, Co. Meath. It opened in 2021 and specialises in Airbus A320 and Boeing B737 landing gear overhaul and is spread across a 70,000-square-foot area. In September 2020 the company established Exeter Aerospace in the location of the former Flybe Maintenance Services at Exeter Airport.

This week Dublin Aerospace also welcomed their latest cohort of Aircraft Engineering Apprentices. The company runs several apprenticeship programmes for Aircraft Mechanics, Aircraft Engineers, Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitters and others.
