A Temporary Restricted Area (TRA) that has been in place near Doonbeg in Co. Clare has been further extended to November. The TRA was originally active for two days in April this year but since 8th July it has been active midweek excluding bank holidays. This new restriction will continue to operate on weekdays from Monday, September 23rd to Friday
November 1st, 2024, excluding Bank Holiday Monday, October 28th, 2024. Each day it will be active from 10:00z (11:00 local) until 19:00z (20:00) local. The vertical limits are from Sea Level to 2,500ft and the airspace will remain Class G.

The airspace within the TRA is restricted to use by aircraft authorised by A-Techsyn Ltd. Unmanned Aircraft Systems operated in breach of TRA restrictions may be subject to seizure by An Garda Síochána as evidence for potential prosecution and in the interest of Aviation Safety. Any exemptions, alleviations or permissions, granted to civil general air traffic by the Authority, are not valid within this Temporary Restricted Area during the period cited. State aircraft, aircraft of the Irish Coastguard Service and HEMS Aircraft Operators employed on an operational mission shall be exempt from the restriction.
