Late on Friday evening the Minister of Transport acceding to a request from The Department of Justice for reasons related to security, issued a direction to the Irish Aviation Authority to establish an area of Temporary Restricted Airspace (TRA) over the former Crown Paints Factory in Coolock for today (Saturday). UAS Operations are not permitted within the TRA, except where authorised by the controlling authority, the Department of Justice. State UAS, UAS of the Irish Coastguard Service and HEMS Aircraft Operators employed on an operational mission shall be exempt from the restriction including UAS authorised by the controlling authority, Department of Justice.
The details are as follows:
Lateral limits: Circle radius 1NM centred on 53°23’34.6”N 006°11’38.4”W (see chart below)
Vertical limits: Surface to 600FT.
Duration: Saturday 27th July.
Airspace Classification: The airspace within this TRA shall be ICAO Class C.
