Another Former Eva Air Aircraft Arrives at Ireland West

Taipei to Ireland West Airport is fast becoming one of the airport’s most common routes with another former Eva Air A330 making the trip last week. B-16311 (MSN 693), an Airbus A330-203, was built in 2005 and delivered to the airline in October of that year. It has operated for the airline for its entire career and was only recently withdrawn from service. It arrived at Ireland West Airport on the morning of 4th July directly from Taipei and will be stripped for parts by EirTrade Aviation. EirTrade is based on the West Apron at the airport and can cater for the majority of Boeing and Airbus types including the A318, A319, A320, A321, A330, A340, A350, A380, B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, B787 and all regional aircraft.

Mark is an airline pilot flying the Boeing 737 for a major European airline. In addition he is also a Type Rating Instructor, Type Rating Examiner and Base Training Captain on the B737. Outside of commercial flying Mark enjoys flying light aircraft from the smallest 3 Axis microlights up to heavier singles. He is also an instructor and EASA Examiner on single engines and a UK CAA Examiner. He flies the Chipmunk for the Irish Historic Flight Foundation (IHFF). Mark became the Chairman of the National Microlight Association of Ireland (NMAI) in 2013 and has overseen a massive growth in the organisation. In this role he has worked at local and national levels. In 2015, Mark won ‘Upcoming Aviation Professional Award’ at the Aviation Industry Awards sponsored by the IAA. Mark launched this website back in 2002 while always managing the website, he has also been Editor and Deputy Editor of FlyingInIreland Magazine from 2005 to 2015.
