The IAA has published details of a Temporary Restricted Area (TRA) that will be established later this week off the coast of Co. Clare. The restriction will take effect on Thursday 25th and Friday 25th of April from 10:00 UTC (11:00L) to 17:00 UTC (18:00L) and is located north of Kilkee and south of Spanish Point. The vertical limits are from Sea Level to 2,000ft and the airspace will remain Class G.
The airspace within the TRA is restricted to use by aircraft authorised by A-Techsyn Ltd. Unmanned Aircraft Systems operated in breach of TRA restrictions may be subject to seizure by An Garda Síochána as evidence for potential prosecution and in the interest of Aviation Safety. Any exemptions, alleviations or permissions, granted to civil general air traffic by the Authority, are not valid within this Temporary Restricted Area during the period cited. State aircraft, aircraft of the Irish Coastguard Service and HEMS Aircraft Operators employed on an operational mission shall be exempt from the restriction.
