At the Bray Air Display this weekend Aer Lingus announced the launch of their Future Pilot Programme. This programme offers successful candidates a fully funded route to becoming a commercial pilot with Aer Lingus. Training will be completed over a 14-month period at FTE Jerez in the south of Spain and upon completion pilots will achieve a Multi Pilot Licence (MPL). They will then return to Dublin to complete the Airbus A320 type rating that lasts approximately 12 weeks. Starting on the short-haul fleet there will be future opportunities to operate on the transatlantic fleet.
