Pilot.ie is a new online pilot shop serving the needs of student, private, and commercial pilots in Ireland. Until now pilots in Ireland have mainly had to obtain their supplies from the UK but since Brexit, this has become increasingly difficult and complicated. Pilot.ie takes away that stress as you can be confident when you buy from them that there will be no customs or duty charges. The price you see is the price you pay. They currently have a range of different products including navigation equipment, books, clothing, headsets and gifts and will be adding new products over the coming months so make sure to check back regularly. They also offer a consultancy service including renewal and revalidation of both single-engine piston and Boeing 737 ratings and they can provide a Senior Examiner for the conduct of a Flight Examiner AOC for SEP Aircraft.
Pilot.ie was set up in November 2022 by aviation expert and enthusiast Mark Dwyer and his long-suffering partner Jenny Jacobs. Mark has worked in the aviation sector for over 20 years, in both the commercial and light aircraft sectors. He founded Flying In Ireland Magazine at the age of 18 with his dad Laurence and now runs the website version. He is also a founding member and Head of Training at FunFly Aerosports. In his day job, he flies, instructs and examines for a large European airline. Jenny is the brains of the operation and keeps the show on the road and four-year-old Maeve is the boss. They have recently returned home to live in Ireland after many years abroad.

We offer a range of products for those who are at the beginning of their aviation adventure, from flight training textbooks to trial flying lesson vouchers, from safety equipment to navigation equipment we can help you get your aviation career off the ground. For those already working in commercial aviation we can supply you with all the necessary equipment such as uniforms, log books and flight bags. Mark can provide a range of checks and assessments such as renewals and revalidations for both Single Engine Piston and Boeing 737s. If you simply enjoy flying light aircraft or plane spotting as a hobby we stock a wide range of aviation-related books, gifts and small aircraft guides.”
