Ahead of the busy June Bank Holiday weekend when over 56,500 passengers are expected to pass through the airport, Cork Airport welcomed its one-millionth passenger of 2023 on Tuesday. As the peak summer season begins, the busiest day of the bank holiday weekend will be Friday, 2nd of June. This weekend’s passenger figures indicate an increase of 13% on the June Bank Holiday 2022 and a 3% increase on the June Bank Holiday 2019. This weekend, Ryanair will commence two new routes to Seville and La Rochelle. The new services will both operate twice weekly and will provide even more choices for consumers across the South of Ireland when booking their summer holiday. With 44 direct routes to the UK and Continental Europe on offer this summer, Cork Airport provides a hassle-free start to any summer holiday. Passengers are advised to allow sufficient time for a pleasant airport experience. It is advised that passengers arrive at least 90 minutes before their flight is due to depart.
