NFC Teen Summer Aviation Camp
The NFC Summer Aviation Camp will take place over the week from 7th to 10th June. The Aviation Camp comprises an introductory flight lesson and associated briefings of the Private Pilot Licence Course, and 2 hours in the NFC glass cockpit simulator which can be set up for 4 classes of aircraft; single-engine piston, twin-engine piston, twin-engine turbine and medium category twin jet. Students will receive a wearable NFC Wings Badge on completion of the course.
The aim of the Camp is to provide the student with hands-on experience of flying a light aircraft. They will gain a full understanding of how to obtain a PPL and how to train to become an Airline Pilot. The course is a taster for anyone considering a career in the aviation industry.
The total cost of the Summer Camp is €292; a €100 deposit secures a position on the Camp, and the remaining €192 is payable before the Camp commences. Students may purchase additional flight lessons if they choose. The cost of the Summer Camp includes;

About the Author
Mark Dwyer Mark is an airline pilot flying the Boeing 737 for a major European airline. In addition he is also a Type Rating Instructor, Type Rating Examiner and Base Training Captain on the B737. Outside of commercial flying Mark enjoys flying light aircraft from the smallest 3 Axis microlights up to heavier singles. He is also an instructor and EASA Examiner on single engines and a UK CAA Examiner. He flies the Chipmunk for the Irish Historic Flight Foundation (IHFF). Mark became the Chairman of the National Microlight Association of Ireland (NMAI) in 2013 and has overseen a massive growth in the organisation. In this role he has worked at local and national levels. In 2015, Mark won ‘Upcoming Aviation Professional Award’ at the Aviation Industry Awards sponsored by the IAA. Mark launched this website back in 2002 while always managing the website, he has also been Editor and Deputy Editor of FlyingInIreland Magazine from 2005 to 2015.
