New CEO for Dublin Aerospace

Dublin Aerospace has announced that William Flaherty has been appointed to the position of CEO of the Group with immediate effect. William has been with the company since its inception and he will succeed Conor McCarthy, who resumes his position of Executive Chairman. He joined Dublin Aerospace in 2009 as an Aircraft Mechanic and has progressed through every level since; to Check Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Head of Base Maintenance to General Manager – Dublin.

Commenting on the announcement, Chairman and Outgoing CEO of Dublin Aerospace, Conor McCarthy said: “It is with great pleasure that I announce the Board have appointed William Flaherty to the position of CEO of Dublin Aerospace Group, with immediate effect. William has won the absolute trust and confidence of our key customers and people alike and I have every confidence that we will continue to shine with William as our CEO. I believe the time is right for me to step back from the day-to-day CEO role and I couldn’t be happier to pass the baton to William to see him progress. I look forward to supporting him and the wider team with our future plans for the business.”

Also commenting on his appointment, William Flaherty said: “I am both delighted and honoured to be appointed CEO of Dublin Aerospace. Dublin Aerospace has proved itself to be one of the world’s leading providers in aerospace MRO services, and I truly look forward to the next stages in the development of the business as we continue to grow to new heights.”

Dublin Aerospace recently opened a new landing gear facility in Ashbourne and they also operate the Exeter Aerospace facility in the UK
