@ByERussell Alaska expects business travel to recover to 50% of normal levels by year-end, says commercial chief Andrew Harrison. $ALK.

@ByERussell Alaska maintains plans to resume full 2019 capacity by summer 2022, says Minicucci. This is unchanged from prior guidance because the airline wants to drive load factors up — and yields as well — and manage pilot retraining.  Capacity will be 80% of 2019 levels this summer. $ALK.

@ByERussell Alaska’s “premium class” — its extra-legroom economy product — will become its own class, ie like Premium Economy, soon, says Harrison.  No more simple buy up but a more distinct product between economy and first. $ALK.

@ByERussell Alaska took delivery of 4 737-9s, unveiled 12 new routes, and recalled 350 pilots during Q1.  “We’re now laser focused on a return to profitability and growth.” -CEO Ben Minicucci. $ALK.

@ByERussell American president Isom expects a FAA AD and completing fixes on 18 parked 737 Max in “a matter of weeks.” The planes were parked due to electrical issues. $AAL.
