Ryanair Add 40 New Routes for Summer 2021, just one from Ireland

Ryanair has announced 40 new routes across their network for the summer 2021 season as Europe plans to open up for tourists. Their biggest increase will see more routes to Spain with nine new domestic routes within Spain and increased schedules on a further nine domestic Spanish routes. Ryanair plans to operate 800 weekly flights across 21 airports in Spain by mid-summer. The new Irish route will see the airline flying twice per week from Rhodes to Dublin. Speaking as the new Irish route was announced, Ryanair’s Director of Commercial Operations, Jason McGuinness said, “We are pleased to announce a new Dublin to Rhodes route, commencing on 3rd July as part of our Irish Summer 2021 schedule. Mindful that Covid restrictions change regularly, customers can now book flights for a well-deserved break knowing that if they need to postpone or change their travel dates, they can do so up to two times with a zero change fee until the end of October 2021.”

The majority of the new routes are to the sun destinations in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece starting with a frequency of twice per week. The new routes will mostly start from the beginning of July and run for the remainder of the summer season.

The delivery of the first Ryanair Boeing 737-8200 is now expected to arrive next week. The aircraft will be delivered to Dublin initially but it is expected to operate from their Stansted base when it enters service. The Ryanair Group have 210 of the larger Boeing 737-8200 on their order book and up to 24 will be in operation for this summer.
