Survey: Impact of Pandemic on Aviation Workers

Employees in the aviation industry are invited to participate in an anonymous online survey concerning the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on aviation workers and the aviation system. The survey asks questions about the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on the wellbeing, employment, and safety behaviour of aviation professionals. It also looks at self-care practices, work related change, and the requirements for support for aviation professionals both during and after the COVID 19 pandemic.

This research is conducted by the ‘Lived Experience & Wellbeing Project’ team at the Centre for Innovative Human Systems (CIHS), Trinity College Dublin. This research is independent and autonomous – it is not linked to any airline, aviation staff representative group or the regulator. It should take approximately 12-15 minutes to complete.

The survey consists of the following 9 sections –

1. Briefing & Consent
2. Profile
3. COVID 19 Pandemic and impact on your employment
4. COVID 19 Pandemic and impact on your wellbeing
5. Talking about mental health and accessing/seeking help
6. Coping Methods/Self Care
7. COVID 19 Pandemic and return to work
8. COVID 19 Pandemic, work impact and change
9. Debriefing
