IASA Student Career Slingshot
The Irish Aviation Students’ Association (IASA) will hold their first Career Slingshot of 2020 on the 13th of February at the IAA, D’Olier Street, Dublin. The first Career Slingshot of the year focuses on Aviation Finance. Guest Speakers from PWC (Tax Practice), KPMG (Advisory Practice) and EY (Audit Practice) will be present, discussing their career paths to date and outlook on future opportunities in the sector.
“We at KPMG are delighted to be able to support the great work being done by IASA. Ireland’s place as the global centre for aviation finance and leasing is a great success story for the country. The foundation of this success is the deep pool of local expertise that has built up over decades. IASA are playing an important role in highlighting the career opportunities in the aviation sector and in doing so helping to develop the aviation leaders of the future”. Joe O’Mara, Tax Partner, KPMG Ireland
IASA is a non-profit entity, created for students, by students. Established in 2015, the organisations’ main objective is to connect passionate aviation students with the industry and to discover and develop opportunities that will shape the future of aviation in Ireland and beyond. The career slingshot is one of the plethora of events that IASA facilitate in bridging the gap between students and the industry. IASA runs two to three career slingshots every year on different careers to give students an insight into the opportunities and careers that they can avail of. Furthermore, the event allows students to ask questions and provides them with an opportunity to network with industry professionals.
This event is a great opportunity for students to gain an insight into Aviation Finance. All are welcome, the event commences at 11:00. See www.iasa.aero for more details.
