Simtech Expands Partnership with Aer Lingus

Simtech Aviation has announced that it is expanding its Dublin-based training capabilities through a long-term partnership with Aer Lingus, part of the International Airlines Group, supporting the delivery of next-generation full-flight simulator training. As part of the programme, new CAE full-flight simulators for the Airbus A320neo, A330, and A321XLR will be introduced at Simtech’s Dublin training centre.

The A320CEO/NEO and A330CEO/NEO full-flight simulators are scheduled to enter service in early 2026, with the A321XLR simulator to enter service in 2027.

Since opening in 2001, Simtech has trained more than 5,500 student pilots and built a strong international reputation for instructional quality, modern simulator infrastructure and a highly specialised in-house engineering team. Simtech currently works with over 20 airlines, delivering training across the Boeing, Airbus and ATR fleets. Alongside the new simulator programme, Simtech currently offers a broad range of on-site capabilities, including

ATR 500 and ATR 600 full-flight simulators supporting EASA type rating and pilot recurring training.

A fixed-base Boeing 737-800NG simulator delivering APS MCC training for EASA and UK CAA cadets, along with a stand-alone EASA MCC course.

An Airbus A320 full-flight simulator, with increased availability expected from May, will create additional opportunities for assessment activity and future training programmes.
