Global Flight Training Solutions Break Ground on Hangar Facilities

On Wednesday, Irish-owned flight school Global Flight Training Solutions (GFTS), broke ground on three hangar facilities at the Immokalee Regional Airport (IMM) in Florida. IMM is situated on 1,333 acres of land located approximately 35 miles northeast of Naples and 110 miles northwest of the Port of Miami and has two asphalt runways fitted with runway lights. Runway 09/27 is 5000X100 feet and Runway 18/36 is 4550X150 feet. Both runways are available 24/7.

GFTS began operating from the airport in late 2020 and has developed successful flight training programs for both local and international student pilots. On 11th May 2021, the Board of County Commissioners executed a forty-year ground lease with the company for approximately 141,330 square feet to be used for the construction, and subsequent operation of aircraft hangars. The development will include three steel buildings approximately 10,000 square feet each, consisting of aircraft hangar units, office space and restrooms. The school’s future plans include developing an aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility (MRO) along with a Federal Aviation Administration-approved jet charter operation.

GFTS have developed a range of programs including their Structured Hour Building Program and their Full Time Pilot Training Program. For further information visit their website at www.globalflighttrainingsolutions.com.
