Dublin will become the centre of European aviation safety discussions this November when the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) brings its Annual Safety Conference 2026 to Ireland. Taking place at the InterContinental Hotel, Ballsbridge, on 18th – 19th November, the event is being held in cooperation with the Irish Aviation Authority and forms part of Ireland’s EU Presidency programme.
Under the theme “Safety Together: Turning Priorities into Action”, the conference will gather aviation regulators, airline executives, manufacturers, service providers, pilots and safety professionals to explore the challenges and opportunities facing the industry over the coming decade.
The programme reflects the rapidly evolving nature of aviation. Opening sessions will examine emerging safety challenges arising from technological innovation, geopolitical developments and changing commercial models, while other discussions will focus on identifying the most significant risks facing the European and global aviation system today and in the future.
General aviation will feature prominently through a dedicated panel on EASA’s Conspicuity Programme, which aims to improve situational awareness and collision avoidance in uncontrolled airspace. The session will examine progress achieved so far and explore how future technological solutions can support both traditional airspace users and emerging sectors such as unmanned aircraft systems.
Other topics include the future of Safety Management Systems, the impact of socioeconomic factors on aviation safety, ATM systems certification, adverse weather resilience, supply chain challenges and the growing influence of artificial intelligence on safety-critical operations. Delegates will also discuss how the industry can attract and retain the next generation of aviation professionals and how leadership can use safety as a competitive advantage rather than simply a regulatory requirement.
With aviation facing unprecedented change, the conference promises to provide valuable insights into the policies, technologies and strategic decisions that will shape European aviation safety for years to come. A networking reception hosted by the Irish EU Presidency on the evening of 18th November will offer attendees the opportunity to continue discussions and build new industry connections.
Registration is now open through the EASA website, with places expected to be in high demand.
