Kerry Airport Reports Operating Profit for 2025

Kerry Airport has released the Annual Report & Accounts for the 12-month period ended 31st December 2025 reporting an Operating Profit after Taxation for the period of €840,979 as compared to an after-Taxation Operating Profit of €1,373,300 in the previous year. Kerry Airport delivered the strongest performance in its history in 2025, handling 440,367 passengers, representing a 5.5% increase on the previous year.

Basil Sheerin (pictured above), on behalf of the Executive Team, sincerely thanked the Chairperson, Denis Cregan, and the Board of Directors for their continued leadership, guidance, and support. He expressed his deepest gratitude to the dedicated team at Kerry Airport, each of whom understands the critical role the airport plays in supporting the regional economy, connectivity, tourism, and business activity.

“We also acknowledge and greatly appreciate the ongoing backing of our elected representatives and our colleagues in the Department of Transport,” said Basil Sheerin. Kerry Airport entered 2026 with confidence, strengthened by passenger growth, continued investment in infrastructure, and the unwavering support of the staff, stakeholders, and the wider community.

Mark is an airline pilot flying the Boeing 737 for a major European airline. In addition he is also a Type Rating Instructor, Type Rating Examiner and Base Training Captain on the B737. Outside of commercial flying Mark enjoys flying light aircraft from the smallest 3 Axis microlights up to heavier singles. He is also an instructor and EASA Examiner on single engines and a UK CAA Examiner. He flies the Chipmunk for the Irish Historic Flight Foundation (IHFF). Mark became the Chairman of the National Microlight Association of Ireland (NMAI) in 2013 and has overseen a massive growth in the organisation. In this role he has worked at local and national levels. In 2015, Mark won ‘Upcoming Aviation Professional Award’ at the Aviation Industry Awards sponsored by the IAA. Mark launched this website back in 2002 while always managing the website, he has also been Editor and Deputy Editor of FlyingInIreland Magazine from 2005 to 2015.
