Lakeview Airfield in Wexford is Up for Sale!

Ever fancied owning your own airfield? Now is your chance! It’s rare to see airfields go up for sale, which makes this opportunity all the more exciting. Lakeview Airfield (EILV) is located just outside the village of Taghmon in Co. Wexford, about 3km north of ILAS Field. Comprising approximately 13.25 acres, it has a single runway 25/07 that measures around 370 metres, although from hedge to hedge, about 500 metres are available. The sale includes a hangar measuring 171 m2.

The airfield will go for sale by public auction at 12 noon on Thursday ,October 9th 2025. Sherry FitzGerald Radford, who are managing the sale, say: “Unique opportunity to acquire an Airfield very strategically located in south east Ireland positioned in a rural setting and extending to 13.25 acres.  The property which lends itself to a wide variety of uses is located within 25km of the coastline, 150km of Dublin and 40km of Waterford.  The property comes to the market in excellent order and includes an airplane hangar extending to 171 SQM with two sliding doors and concrete apron.  An exceptional opportunity as planning permission for such a venture is extremely difficult to obtain along with the suitable terrain.  Ideal for private use, flight training facility or indeed for a forward thinking flying club or investor. The Airfield has no air flying restrictions as it’s in a completely free flying zone and offers superb accessibility.”

New airfields are incredibly hard to develop, so it’s important that the existing ones are maintained. We’re hoping a new owner can take it on and develop it as a part of the GA infrastructure in Ireland. Bidding is expected to start at around €250,000. For more information, please visit here.
