Emerald Airlines Launches Aviation Graduate Programme

Emerald Airlines has announced the launch of its Graduate Programme, a dynamic 24-month initiative aimed at shaping the aviation leaders of tomorrow, based primarily in its Dublin HQ. With a key focus on Finance and Engineering & Maintenance, this programme offers graduates an unparalleled opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various departments, preparing them for impactful careers in the aviation industry.

Applications for the programme are now open and close on March 31, 2025.

The Graduate Programme combines rotational placements, mentorship, and networking opportunities, allowing participants to build their skills while exploring key areas of the business.

Graduates will have the opportunity to focus on core functions:

  • Engineering and Maintenance: Immerse yourself in the technical backbone of aviation by working alongside the Engineering team. You will gain insight into ensuring aircraft airworthiness, maintaining the ATR fleet, and adhering to regulatory standards while developing an understanding of the essential role of Aviation Engineers.
  • Finance: Step into the financial hub of the airline, where you’ll analyse profitability, explore financial strategy, and learn how finance drives the airlines’ operations. This placement is ideal for graduates passionate about accounting, budgeting, and uncovering the business factors that make airlines thrive.

In addition to finance and engineering, the programme offers experience in-flight operations, ramp operations, scheduling and disruption management, recruitment, employee engagement, and commercial strategy, including route planning and marketing.

Eligibility

  • Candidates must be final-year undergraduate or master’s students with a strong academic record (at least a 2:1 standard in recent exams)
  • Must be enrolled in modules with a clear focus on Finance or Engineering.
  • Applicants should demonstrate a genuine passion for aviation, a flexible mindset, and a proven work ethic from previous internships or summer jobs.
