Tweet Picks:

@theaircurrent Aer Lingus tipped as first A321XLR operator in 2024.

@winglets747 British Airways next year expected to detail its planned spend of £7 billion over 3 years for an overhaul. That apparently includes WiFi, lounges, and IT changes, but surely some fleet is included? £7 billion, even over 3 years, is huge.

@winglets747 Cathay Pacific purchased 6 A350Fs with 20 options. This transaction is an amendment to Cathay’s 2010 order for 30x A350-900s. The amendment part suggests there is something favourable in the 2010 contract to order the freighters under that deal as opposed to a new one.

@winglets747 Lufthansa Group orders 737 MAX: “The decision for the Boeing 737-8 MAX will also give us more flexibility for the procurement of short- and medium-haul aircraft in the future.” Notes Lufthansa & Swiss plans developed, so MAX will be in other flight ops.
