@airlinewriter Now $ULCC is tumbling after yesterday’s after-market report, taking the baton from $JBLU. As JPMorgan’s Jamie Baker put it, “if you don’t cater to premium, if you can’t bank on loyalty, and if you don’t fly internationally, this year’s third quarter is likely to disappoint.”

@airlinewriter On $LUV call, COO Andrew Watterson refers to shifting from biz-travel-heavy routes to leisure routes as “going to the other guardrail.”

@airlinewriter The RASM numbers are no doubt driving the 8% drop in $LUV shares. @SouthwestAir CEO says a lot of it is from people traveling on vouchers and credits that were extended.

@airinsight The reason @Ryanair is so successful – they work harder. Much harder.

@MaxK_J Good to learn via recent @thetimes  interview with BA CEO Sean Doyle that the #A380 fleet is finally set for a cabin make-over, with Club Suite and possibly a new upper-deck F cabin. Presumably from around 2025? Would indicate at least another decade of BA service… #avgeeks.
