Aviation Skillnet Support For AAV Autumn Training Programme

Aviation Skillnet is once again supporting Atlantic Air Adventures Aviation Services Training programmes commencing this Autumn. The programme includes a wide range of industry-led courses which are designed and delivered by experienced professionals, in partnership with Technological University Shannon Region. There is 25% funding available for eligible companies and their employees through Aviation Skillnet and their promoting agency the Irish Centre of Business Excellence. Courses in the Autumn Series include Aircraft Lease Transition Project & Data Management, Part 21 Design Technician, CAMO Technician, Aircraft Technical Services, Aircraft Lease Transition Management, Certificate in Aircraft Leasing, Aircraft Records Technician and Aircraft Lease Transition Financials.

AAV Aviation Services Training has delivered industry-led and accredited Aircraft Technical Services courses in partnership with Limerick Institute of Technology and the Shannon Aviation Cluster since 2016. They operate a B737-800 NG Fixed Base Flight Simulator available with experienced instructors for Airline Sim Assessment Preparation, Renewal and Practice. They also offer Simulated Engine Run Training Facility for MRO’s and CFM-56 Training / Borescope Facility.

The Aviation Skillnet works with companies to grow the skills base and deliver training solutions and professional development programmes that meet the specific needs of the aviation sector in Ireland. Their promoting agency, The Irish Centre for Business Excellence is a not-for-profit organisation established by leading companies in Ireland with a deep commitment to continuous improvement. They are a knowledge-sharing network of cross-sectoral businesses that are committed to helping each other. A Steering Committee comprising key players in the sector drives the activities of the network. The priority activities for the network are the provision of networking and collaboration opportunities and the identification of critical professional development requirements. The Aviation Skillnet supports the sector in maintaining and enhancing Ireland’s position in aviation. A key driver of the success of the sector has been the knowledge, expertise and innovation of those employed within the industry. The mission is to constantly build on this and develop further the breadth and depth of expertise available thereby improving our global competitiveness. Aviation Skillnet is the only designated provider of a full suite of Aviation training and development in Ireland with funding.
