@ByERussell United Airlines could gain and American Airlines lose in the latest fallout from the U.S. pilot shortage: Mesa’s (likely forced) change in allegiance. $UAL $AAL.

@ByERussell UPDATE: United CEO Scott Kirby said its deal with Mesa Airlines is “all about pilots,” explaining that it can increase utilization of 76-seat regional jets by swapping some E175s for CRJ900s. “We’ll use the pilots to fly fewer shells but more hours.”

@ByERussell NEW: @porterairlines will debut its first new Embraer E195-E2s on flights between Toronto Pearson and Montreal, Ottawa, and Vancouver beginning 1 Feb. @yvrairport is a new destination for Porter, and the first transcon market ever.

@GuillaumeFaury Thank you PM @narendramodi for an excellent meeting with @Airbus. Proud that our commitment to India is contributing to your #AatmaNirbharBharat vision for aerospace & defence. We will continue to support civil aviation growth & deepen our industrial footprint in India. @PMOIndia.
