@ByERussell Aer Lingus will launch 4x weekly service to Cleveland from Dublin with an A321LR on 19 May 2023. This will be Cleveland’s only nonstop route to

@ByERussell This appears to be a resumption of Aer Lingus’ strategy to make Dublin, with U.S. pre-clearance facilities, into a European gateway for second tier U.S. cities. Pre-pandemic, the airline served Hartford and Minneapolis-St. Paul nonstop.

@ByERussell Beyond the extension of loyalty benefits, a greater presence at London Heathrow is really the only big get for SkyTeam with the addition of Virgin Atlantic to the alliance.

@ByERussell Virgin Atlantic will boost SkyTeam’s share of seats at sought-after Heathrow Airport by 6 points to nearly 12% in September, per Diio by Cirium. Oneworld has a 57% share, and Star a 19% share.

@ByERussell Hydrogen will likely play a big role in decarbonizing larger regional and small mainline narrowbody aircraft, said  @Universal_H2’s JF Tessier.  Universal Hydrogen plans a first flight of a fuel cell-power Dash 8 before year end.
