Today’s X Picks:

@adampnathan Turkish can draw on a much larger home market than Emirates. Istanbul has nearly 16 million residents and Türkiye has 86 million. IST handled 84.4 million passengers in 2025. About 20 million transferred internationally, while more than 30 million began or ended an international trip there.

@adampnathan Turkish built its European network around frequency. It flies more often than Emirates to Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt, Heathrow, Madrid, Vienna, Rome and Zurich. Emirates still offers more seats to four of those cities because it sends larger aircraft.

@airlines_UK UK airlines back cost-effective airport growth and net zero by 2050 — but the transition has to be affordable. Airlines are already investing billions in new aircraft, SAF and airspace upgrades and we have a plan to deliver it.

@CNBC Boeing asks U.S. to intervene over record EU loan to Airbus: Reuters.
