Avolon, the Dublin-based aircraft leasing company, has released its third-quarter update for 2025, showcasing a dynamic period of fleet growth, strategic investments, and financial strength.

Fleet Activity and Orders

During Q3, Avolon acquired 17 aircraft and sold 15, ending the quarter with 60 aircraft agreed for sale. The company also signed letters of intent for the purchase and lease of 10 additional aircraft, reinforcing its active role in the global leasing market. Avolon placed 8 aircraft from its orderbook, achieving a 99% placement rate for deliveries scheduled over the next 24 months. A major highlight of the quarter was a new order for 90 aircraft from Airbus, comprising 75 x A321neo and 15 x A330neo models. These aircraft are scheduled for delivery through to 2033, supporting Avolon’s commitment to modern, fuel-efficient fleets.

Fleet Size and Composition

As of 30th September 2025, Avolon’s owned, managed, and committed fleet stood at 1,159 aircraft. This includes 522 new technology aircraft, reflecting the company’s focus on sustainability and next-generation aviation solutions.

Avolon raised US$2.2 billion in unsecured funding during the quarter, while also repaying US$829 million in secured debt and completing a US$1 billion tender offer. These moves have strengthened its capital structure by increasing both the duration and proportion of unsecured debt. Operating in 62 countries and partnering with 141 airlines, Avolon continues to play a pivotal role in global aviation finance from its Dublin HQ.
