Milestone Aviation Marks 15 Years in Business

The Milestone Aviation Group Limited, a leader in helicopter leasing, has recently unveiled a refreshed brand identity and website to commemorate the company’s 15 years in business. In addition to the redesigned logo and iconic “M” symbol, the company will now primarily be known as “Milestone”.

“We are excited to introduce our new brand identity today, including a new logo, tagline and redesigned website which better represents the company Milestone has become,” said Pat Sheedy, the Chief Executive Officer of Milestone. “Milestone’s new look embodies the company’s commitment to innovation and progress, while also honouring our legacy as a leading helicopter lessor. Our new brand identity is simple, bold and modern for powerful visual recognition to showcase the strength of our enduring brand as we move into the future.” 

Milestone Aviation Group, based in Dublin and part of AerCap, is the world’s leading helicopter leasing and financing company. Milestone partners with helicopter operators worldwide, providing a wide array of financial and productivity solutions, including operating leases, purchase/leasebacks, secured debt financing, engine leasing and fleet advisory. The company supports approximately 50 customers in approximately 35 countries serving a variety of industries, including offshore oil and gas, search and rescue, emergency medical services, police surveillance, mining, fire-fighting, and other utility missions.

Mark is an airline pilot flying the Boeing 737 for a major European airline. In addition he is also a Type Rating Instructor, Type Rating Examiner and Base Training Captain on the B737. Outside of commercial flying Mark enjoys flying light aircraft from the smallest 3 Axis microlights up to heavier singles. He is also an instructor and EASA Examiner on single engines and a UK CAA Examiner. He flies the Chipmunk for the Irish Historic Flight Foundation (IHFF). Mark became the Chairman of the National Microlight Association of Ireland (NMAI) in 2013 and has overseen a massive growth in the organisation. In this role he has worked at local and national levels. In 2015, Mark won ‘Upcoming Aviation Professional Award’ at the Aviation Industry Awards sponsored by the IAA. Mark launched this website back in 2002 while always managing the website, he has also been Editor and Deputy Editor of FlyingInIreland Magazine from 2005 to 2015.
