Boeing 757-300 Retirement – Condor Technik | Düsseldorf Airport – Group Tour
Airliner Experience is pleased to announce an invitation for an Enthusiasts Group Visit to Condor Technik to bid farewell to the airline’s Boeing 757-300 from the fleet at Düsseldorf Airport.
Ultra-rare in Europe, apart from Condor operating seven 300 series B757’s, the “Flying Pencil”, only one other airline, Icelandair, operate the type, but not for long. This is an opportunity to view in close quarters the stretched version of the classic Boeing 757.
This exciting tour is planned to take place towards the end of September 2025.
The Main Event
On Day 1, our Airliner Experience group will depart Dublin Airport direct to Düsseldorf. As guests of Condor Technik, from 4 pm till 7 pm, we will be privileged to a guided tour of the MRO facility, which performs both Line & Base Maintenance on Condor’s mixed fleet of Airbus & Boeing aircraft as well as other third-party customers.
The main aim of the visit is to view and inspect the airline’s iconic Boeing 757-300 as it retires from service. Condor was the Launch Customer for the 300 series B757 and most of the remaining seven aircraft have been with the airline for the past 25 years – true classics. Condor has called time on the ‘300 and is removing all of them this autumn as they transition to an all-Airbus fleet.
With 70 aircraft in the Condor fleet, other interests include 18 A330s with the A330-900neos of special interest and A321neos apart from what other aircraft may be present from various airlines. There may be other aspects of the airline maintenance facility which will be revealed to us on the day.
After the Condor Technik Tour, there will be a visit to Düsseldorf City with an evening meal before overnighting in a Hotel and returning to Dublin the following morning.
Condor’s new Beach Livery is definitely striking. For this exciting opportunity to experience the iconic Condor Boeing 757-300 “Flying Pencil” up close for the final time
and to access the elusive Condor Technik – Aircraft Maintenance Facility – Düsseldorf Airport.
Time is short – The B757-300 is departing!
