Certificate in Aviation

Certificate in Aviation in partnership with LIT begins 23rd Feb 2016 in Shannon

This course is an exciting and interesting introduction to the subject of Aviation, it explores the basic principals of flight and some of the engineering that makes it possible.
The course covers a cross section of topics at introductory level and is suitable for those interested in developing their knowledge of the subject for professional or personal development.

Topics look at the practical application of how aircraft are engineered, operated and separated.  Students will learn about how the environment affects flight and how humans physiologically respond to it.  As part of the course participants experience a practical simulated flying lesson, a B737 NG Flight sim experience, plus the opportunity to get behind the scenes at a live aircraft maintenance hangar.  Our instructors are experienced aircraft engineers, air traffic controllers, commercial pilots and instructors.
